Kepware help HP Data Centers keep cool

ServoTube inventor Copley to be sold
Analogic Corporation has entered into an agreement to acquire privately held Copley Controls Corporation of Canton, Massachusetts, a leading supplier of gradient amplifiers for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and precision motion control systems. The purchase price is approximately $68.75 million cash and up to an additional $1.8 million to reimburse Copley shareholders for the tax consequences of the transaction. Copley will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Analogic. The transaction is expected to close in early April 2008.

Siemens modular safety offers more plant flexibility
With the Sirius 3RK3 modular safety system, Siemens Division Industry Automation offers a new safety solution, between a simple safety relay and a fail-safe controller. The 3RK3 safety system can be used in all sectors and applications in which several safety functions have to be evaluated but where it would be too costly to wire together several switching devices.

32 bit SCADA boosts RTU performance
Semaphore, a CSE Global company, has added a 32-bit CPU SCADA software module to T-BOX line of RTU SCADA system products. The new MS-CPU32 is compatible with the T-BOX MS Modular System and offers up to 100 times the performance of current T-BOX processors.

Hot project clears Siemens' pipeline
Dunlop Oil & Marine Ltd, one of the world’s leading manufacturer of industrial hoses for oil, gas and petroleum transportation, recently wanted to upgrade the controls of one of its rubber cord ‘calender’ machines. Its original estimate of three weeks (to include hard wiring) was cut to just one week when Siemens system integrator, CT Systems (UK) Ltd, proposed a Profibus drive network and ASi Safe as a cost effective and more accurate alternative.
